A recent kariera.gr survey conducted via LinkedIn with over 3,000 participants shed light on employees’ needs and mental wellbeing during the summer [1], [2]. The findings reveal that 42% of respondents want more vacation days, 36% are in favor of remote work during the summer months, and 18% would like vouchers or financial support for holidays. Corporate outings or social events were the least popular, with only 3% expressing interest in such activities during summer.
More than 3,000 employees took part in the survey, which was conducted via LinkedIn.
At the same time, 82% reported experiencing increased stress and workload during the summer, with no employer measures in place to address it. Only 8% said their companies provide breaks or designated rest areas, while just 6% mentioned receiving bonuses or rewards, and 4% noted the availability of additional support or learning opportunities.
When it comes to the ideal summer schedule, 66% of respondents prefer a four-day work week, while 16% would opt for a five-day schedule with six-hour shifts. Additionally, 12% favored the practice of “Early Fridays” (leaving work early on Fridays), and 9% supported more flexible daily working hours.
