PSValueTalks 2024, titled “Cultural Horizons – Regional Development and Cultural Diplomacy,” will take place on Tuesday, November 12, from 10:00 to 20:00 at the National Gallery. The event centers on the intersection of regional development and cultural diplomacy, exploring the opportunities and challenges for a comprehensive cultural policy in Greece. It aims to propose innovative strategies to boost local cultural production and strengthen the country’s international cultural presence through two main thematic pillars.
The theme “Culture as a Driver of Regional Development” focuses on the role of culture in stimulating local and regional growth. It explores the policies of institutional bodies that support cultural activities within local communities, as well as local initiatives that promote cultural development, starting from the communities themselves.
What synergies can be achieved between these two – distinct yet fundamentally interconnected – fields? What practices can promote outreach and sustainable development? PSVT 2024 invites the audience to explore how cultural heritage and contemporary artistic production contribute to shaping a new development model and international influence.
The two thematic areas are: “Culture as a Lever for Regional Development” and “Cultural Diplomacy as a Tool for Regional and National Growth.”
