The Beatles are transforming the historic Apple Corps building at 3 Savile Row into a permanent exhibition space, aiming to create an “official” Beatles destination in London. The experience, titled “The Beatles at 3 Savile Row,” is expected to open in 2027 and will span seven floors featuring rare archival material, memorabilia, and spaces dedicated to the band’s history.
The listed building served as the Beatles’ headquarters between 1968 and 1972 and is linked to two of the group’s most iconic moments: in the basement they recorded their final album, Let It Be, while on the rooftop they performed their legendary January 1969 rooftop concert, the band’s final public appearance.
In April 2028, four separate films about each member of the Beatles, directed by Sam Mendes, are also expected to be released.
Paul McCartney said he wanted there to be a place where fans could truly “step into” the world of the Beatles, unlike Abbey Road Studios, which remains closed to the public. The new venue will include a reconstruction of the Let It Be recording studio, access to the rooftop where the 1969 concert took place, and an official merchandise store.
The announcement comes amid renewed interest in the Beatles, as the four upcoming The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event films dedicated to each band member are scheduled for release in April 2028.
