A 53-year-old man killed his 44-year-old wife, the mother of their two children, today around 13:15 in Sindos, Thessaloniki [1], [2]. This is the third recorded femicide in 2025, following incidents in Rodopi and Serres in January and February.
After fatally wounding his wife with a sharp object, the perpetrator jumped from the second-floor balcony of their home and died while being transported to Papageorgiou Hospital, according to ERT. A forensic expert and a team from the Security Directorate have been dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances of the femicide, and statements are being taken from people close to the family.
