From the beginning starts the trial, after 19 sessions, for the “missing videos” of Tempi, after the request for recusal of its president, which was accepted. Thus, the trial must start from the beginning with a new president. Subsequently, the prosecutor proposed the indefinite adjournment of the case.
The trigger was the tension between the president and Zoi Konstantopoulou (lawyer of relatives of victims) in previous sessions, with the president saying: “The trial cannot continue like this. I have received countless insults”.
From the beginning of the procedure the court has examined only three witnesses and the last one, a judicial expert, had revealed that he had in his possession video material of the accident site which he had not delivered to the Authorities.
For the “missing videos” are accused the then president of OSE, the then CEO and an executive of the security company “Interstar Security”.
Then, the court decided the seizure of this material and the lawyers of the relatives of the victims requested the obtaining of copies. The court decided the granting of copies, however afterwards, with the president being absent because she had declared illness, the relevant decision was revoked.
This trial (different from the criminal one) concerns the non-delivery to the appellate investigating judge of the videos from the point where the freight train started on the night of the tragedy.
The accused are former executives of OSE and a representative of a security company, with charges related to removal of documents and disobedience.
