Four soldiers were killed and dozens injured in a drone attack claimed by Hezbollah on the Binyamina military base in northern Israel, which targeted the Golani Brigade, one of the Israeli army’s elite units.

Over the past week, Israel has intensified its attacks on Lebanon, with bombings around Beirut, southern Lebanon, and other areas, killing at least 23 people in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, ground assaults continue, with Israeli tanks entering a UN peacekeeping base. However, according to the NYT, the attacks have so far not achieved their stated goal of preventing Hezbollah’s cross-border strikes.

At least 23 people were killed in the last 24 hours by Israeli bombings in Lebanon, while Israeli tanks entered a UN peacekeeping base yesterday.

On the same day, the U.S. announced they are sending a new missile defense system to Israel, along with around 100 American soldiers to operate it, as analysts believe there is a significant gap in Israel’s air defense system. This move brings the possibility of a broader conflict closer as Israel prepares for a potential strike on Iran.

At the same time, at least four Palestinians were killed and dozens injured after the bombing of a tent camp sheltering displaced people near al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza. The death toll is expected to rise, according to Al Jazeera, as the understaffed hospital struggles to treat the many burn victims, including women, children, and the elderly.
