OnlyFans, a platform for users aged 18 and over where subscribers pay for content creators, mostly of a pornographic nature, increased its revenue by 20% in 2022-2023 compared to 2021-2022, reaching $1.3 billion (€1.18 billion).
Leonid Radvinsky, a 42-year-old American-Ukrainian entrepreneur who bought the startup in 2018 from its founder, has earned the same amount in profits from the platform over the past four years. For 2022-2023, the company’s profit before taxes was $658 million (€596 million), a 25% increase from 2021-2022.
OnlyFans was created in 2016 and is considered one of the most successful startups in the United Kingdom, according to media reports.
In 2022-2023, the number of content creators and subscribers increased by about 30% compared to 2021-2022, reaching 4 million and 305 million, respectively. Subscribers spent a record $6.6 billion (€5.98 billion) on OnlyFans for subscriptions, tips, and pay-per-view content, with creators receiving 80% and the company keeping 20%. Revenue from non-subscription services now exceeds subscription revenue.
