The two drivers seen in a video of an incident involving a food delivery worker in Limassol have come forward to police and given statements about the circumstances of the altercation.
The incident took place on the afternoon of Friday, October 2, on Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue in Limassol and was captured in a video published by RoadReportCY. The footage shows the delivery worker next to his fallen bicycle and equipment, with a black vehicle stopped nearby. A physical confrontation then takes place on the road median, during which the delivery worker is hit and kicked. A second man later becomes involved.
Although no complaint was initially filed, police launched an investigation after the footage was made public. They are investigating whether the incident arose from a misunderstanding related to a traffic incident.

According to police spokesperson Vyronas Vyronos, the two men gave their own accounts, saying that an argument over the delivery worker’s driving had preceded the incident. The victim, however, has not yet come forward to the authorities.
An eyewitness told RoadReportCY that the confrontation had begun before the recording started, claiming that someone from a vehicle grabbed the delivery worker by his bag and pulled him to the ground. The claim is not captured in the video and is being investigated.
