Kamala Harris repeatedly “cornered” Donald Trump during the first—and possibly last—debate in the U.S. yesterday (early Wednesday morning in Greece), ahead of the November 5, 2024 elections.

Harris dominated the debate, attacking Trump on the issue of abortion, calling his stance “offensive to the women of America.” She mentioned meeting women across the country whose health and lives had been endangered by abortion restrictions.

Additionally, the Democratic candidate criticized the former U.S. president for the way he handled the pandemic and brought up his ongoing criminal cases.

Immediately after the debate, Taylor Swift (283 million followers) announced on Instagram that she would be voting for Kamala Harris.

She also commented on the size of the rallies, saying that Trump’s supporters leave his events bored and that “you won’t hear him talk about your needs.” Trump said, “People don’t leave my rallies.”

Donald Trump personally attacked his opponent and spread fake news, targeting immigrants in the U.S. and labeling them as criminals. He notably said that Haitian immigrants were “stealing and eating pets in Springfield,” a falsehood that had already been debunked by Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance, who initially spread the misinformation.
