The US-Iran agreement to end the war includes the creation of a $300 billion fund to rebuild Iranian facilities that were damaged, Reuters reports.

The new fund is a private investment vehicle, not a reconstruction or compensation program, and will not include state money or grants, the source said, adding that companies based in the United States, Arab Gulf states, Asia, South America, and Africa have agreed to commit funding.

The mechanism provides for regional countries to contribute in various ways, the Iranian source said. These include securing loans, creating credit lines, or directly financing the reconstruction of facilities damaged in the war, including sites such as the Mobarakeh Steel complex, refineries, airports, and, more broadly, infrastructure affected by the conflict.

More than 3,000 people have been killed in Iran since the start of US and Israeli attacks on February 28.

Iran, as stressed in the draft agreement, commits that it will never acquire nuclear weapons.

At the same time, Iran says that without the IDF’s withdrawal from Lebanon, the agreement will not be signed, while Israel’s government says it intends to continue its war against Hezbollah.

Meanwhile, Trump appears to be “losing patience” with Israel’s refusal to accept the ceasefire, according to international media.
