Israel bombed Beirut on Saturday, followed by attacks on Hezbollah targets on Sunday. According to international media reports [1], [2], the Saturday strike was the largest on the Lebanese capital since Israel escalated its strikes on September 23.

The Israeli military stated that fighter jets targeted Hezbollah intelligence headquarters and weapons storage facilities in Beirut.

Separate Israeli airstrikes south of Beirut killed at least six people, including three children, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.

The U.S. has spent a record $17.9 billion on military aid toward Israel since October 7, 2023.

Israel continues its attacks on Gaza, bombing a mosque and a school sheltering displaced people, killing at least 26 and injuring 93.

Palestinian health officials reported that at least 20 more people were killed since Saturday night in northern Gaza after the military deployed tanks in the area for the first time in months and urged residents to evacuate.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched rockets late Sunday that landed in Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city, causing damage to buildings and injuring 10 people.
