This year’s EuroLeague Final Four begins tomorrow in Athens at OAKA, the home arena of Panathinaikos B.C., with Olympiacos B.C. facing Fenerbahçe Beko and Real Madrid Baloncesto taking on Valencia Basket for the two places in Sunday’s final. The Olympiacos–Fenerbahçe game will tip off at 18:00, while Real Madrid–Valencia will follow at 21:00. Sunday’s final is scheduled for 21:00.
For the staging of the Final Four, security measures by the Greek police will be in force to ensure the smooth running of the games.
As part of these measures, Olympiacos fans will gather at the “Faliro” station at 13:00 before departing for OAKA at 15:00, Fenerbahçe fans at “Thissio” at 12:00 before leaving at 14:00, while Real Madrid and Valencia supporters will gather at the Panathenaic Stadium at 14:00 before departing by bus at 15:45 and 16:00 respectively.
A Fan Zone with a capacity of 1,500 people has been set up at Zappeion and will operate today, tomorrow and Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00.
Police forces will be increased at OAKA, with five separate identity and security checkpoints, as well as across public transport and fan gathering points. Presentation of an original national ID card or passport will be mandatory. The identification details must fully match the information printed on the ticket.
Unauthorized movement of organized groups of supporters outside the designated procedures will not be permitted, while escorting, approaching or obstructing team delegations during their travel to and from sports facilities, as well as to and from their accommodation, will also be prohibited.
