Criminal prosecution was brought against the 89-year-old after the shotgun attacks at EFKA Kerameikos and the Court of Appeal, injuring 5 people.
The 89-year-old is charged with:
Attempted homicide repeatedly, aggravated case of illegal carrying of a weapon inside a court building, aggravated case of illegal carrying of a firearm, continuous use of a weapon, illegal carrying of a hunting weapon repeatedly, illegal possession of ammunition and cartridges, illegal possession of weapons knives and replica, disruption of the operation of the service repeatedly and threat of committing crimes.
He himself stated to police officers yesterday that he did not want to kill any employee and for this reason he shot at the floor and not against them, while he stressed that he only wanted to “frighten the system.”

“I took a taxi from EFKA, because the taxi that had taken me there had left, and I went to Loukareos and as soon as I came out of the Court of First Instance I took a taxi directly and moved towards Patras. At first I thought of going to Kifisou bus station but eventually I went to Patras. I thought of issuing a ticket to go to Italy. I could not withdraw money from the ATM and eventually I would travel today,” he told police officers.
The 89-year-old had submitted an application to the international pensions department as he had worked abroad as a migrant, but he did not meet the conditions for a pension also from Greece, while in the file he left behind he speaks about the jobs he did in Germany and in the US, for which he was receiving a pension from abroad.
