The Cypriot government, and the tourism bodies tourism bodies are intensifying their efforts in order to reverse the negative climate that has been formed internationally for Cyprus, because of the war of the US–Israel in Iran.

The goal is to maintain the confidence of foreign markets and to strengthen the image of the country as a safe and quality tourist destination, so that the impacts on the sector are limited.

In this context, a communication campaign is being promoted with the aim of conveying abroad a clear picture of the real conditions that prevail on the island.

Particular weight is given to the gradual normalization of air connections.

According to Kathimerini Cyprus, the planning and implementation of the campaign is expected to be undertaken by a large international communication organization. The campaign will emphasize the fact that Cyprus remains a safe destination and that everyday life in the country continues without problems, despite the unstable environment in the wider region.

At the same time, contacts are underway both abroad and in Cyprus with tourism partners and collaborators, with the aim of conveying a message of stability and normality to international markets.

Competent sources characterize the situation as manageable, noting however that this year’s tourist season is expected to be demanding, as the geopolitical environment in the region remains unstable and creates uncertainty in international markets.
