At 17:00, a team from the embassy is heading to the site of the accident, which is, by road, 7 hours away from the Romanian capital.

According to a Romanian report, a small van traveling from Greece and heading to France, with ten passengers, attempted to overtake near the area of Lugojelul, Romania, and in its attempt to return to its lane, collided with a truck, then was thrown into the opposite direction where it collided with another lorry.

Initial information refers to PAOK supporters from the Alexandrias Imathias supporters club, from Katerini, and one from Thessaloniki.

According to local media, a total of four vehicles were involved in the deadly accident, specifically one lorry, one minibus and two passenger cars.

In addition to the seven dead, one of whom was the van driver, there are three more injured, with two in critical condition, while the third is hospitalized with serious injuries.
