Israel has threatened to resume military operations in Gaza if Hamas does not return all the bodies of all the hostages, as stipulated in the agreement.

Earlier, Hamas assured that it has returned all the bodies it was able to find and that it needs special equipment to recover the remaining ones, as they are buried under rubble.

The threat came from Defense Minister Israel Katz, after Hamas handed over the bodies of two more hostages late yesterday, bringing the total number of dead hostages returned by Hamas to nine. Hamas also handed over a tenth body, which Israel said did not belong to a hostage.

Hamas has returned 9 of the 28 bodies it held, with foreign officials believing it will soon return the rest.

Israel also stated that the southern Rafah crossing, crucial for the entry of humanitarian aid,  will open later, and not on Thursday as previously agreed.

Donald Trump’s 20-point plan includes that “full aid” reaches Gaza, as well as the return of all hostages, both alive and dead. The agreement also requires Israel to return the bodies of 360 Palestinians. Many of the 90 bodies returned so far showed signs of torture and execution — such as blindfolds, bound hands, and gunshot wounds to the head — according to doctors.
