The joint venture Renti to Go, which includes Giannis Antetokounmpo and his family, has bought the Village Shopping & More commercial center in Renti for €14.1 million.
The facilities are set to undergo upgrades, with plans to transform the complex into a center for sports and entertainment.
The Village Shopping & More in Renti currently functions as a 49,000-square-meter “entertainment park,” with Village Cinemas, a movie theater operator, as its primary tenant.
The Renti to Go consortium includes the Antetokounmpo family, Elias Georgiadis (via Sterner Stenhus Greece), Premia Properties (through a subsidiary), Giorgos Panou, Yiannis Konstantinou (a U.S. resident), and Alex Papakonstantinou (a resident of Sweden).
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been a member of the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA since 2013. He has won an NBA championship (2021) and earned the MVP title twice (2019, 2020).
Giannis Antetokounmpo stated: “Together with my family and in partnership with Elias Georgiadis, I am investing in an area of Attica where my brothers and I spent our childhood. This investment is one of the most significant we have undertaken in Greece to date. Our vision is to enhance the space, offering people and their families unforgettable experiences, while advancing our broader plans for sports development.”
His brother, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, added: “This initiative is not only aimed at growth with a focus on sports but also holds a personal significance, as it brings back special memories from our childhood.”
