The Ministry of Education announced the results of the nationwide Panhellenic exams on its official website and sent them via SMS to candidates who had requested it.

According to initial data, nearly 60% of candidates scored below the passing mark in History (59.87%), Physics (58.95%), and Mathematics (58.37%). The corresponding percentages are around 40% for Ancient Greek (40.90%), Computer Science (41.27%), and Economics (40.90%). The subject with the lowest percentage of candidates scoring below the passing mark was Modern Greek Language and Literature, with 12.85%.

The low performance in History, Physics, and Mathematics is expected to lower the admission thresholds for “high-ranking” schools.

The total number of candidates was 90,416, comprising 15,569 from Vocational High Schools (EPAL) and 74,847 from General High School (GEL). The most popular field of study was “Economics and Informatics Studies,” which constituted 36.6% of General High School (GEL) candidates, followed by “Humanities Studies,” which accounted for 27.5% of General High School (GEL) candidates.

The Ministry of Education has developed a specialized application to simplify the calculation of points for candidates. By inputting their written exam scores, candidates can instantly view their scores for each Department/School within their Field or Sector.
